Tierra's Forever Home Update

July 12, 2014
We made it home safe and sound. Tierra has eaten, but she hasn't pottied or had a drink yet. The other two have inspected her, and she inspected them, too, and all seems to be good. She is still very timid and shy with us, but I'm holding her on my lap right now. Hopefully, after a couple of days she will begin to trust us more and more. With her food, is that a heaping tablespoon? She ate with great enthusiasm, and I'm pretty sure she wanted more. We'll keep you updated. Thanks so much for trusting us with your baby.
Love,
Jean

Hi Jan,
Tierra is doing well. I actually got a kiss on the lips last night. She is just a little sweetie. She's getting more and more comfortable with me each day. She's tried getting these other two to play, but so far they are being respectful but not playful. Actually, Lilly has never been much of a player, but I think once Preston gets more used to Tierra, he will play. Her little mannerisms are just precious. I'm just totally in love with her. She sleeps next to me in her little bed at night...on our bed, of course. My daughter just loves her, but she is still a little cautious with my husband. More later.
Love,
Jean

Hi Jan,
Tierra is settling in really, really well. She's proving herself to be quite the little character and is showing us the many facets of her darling personality. She is now dispensing kisses frequently. Her vet appointment went very well with everything checking out perfectly. They, of course, gave strict precautions to follow regarding the molera, which the vet felt was significant, mainly the same things we had already discussed. We got her flea and heartworm medications as well. Needless to say, we are thoroughly enjoying getting to know her and seeing her adjust so well. She is getting more and more comfortable with us each day. We've discovered that she loves having her tummy and chest rubbed and will bat her paws at us if we stop just to let us know we can continue. I've put her to sleep this way a couple of times. Night time is also good. She is a wonderful little companion, and we are blessed to have her.
Blessings,
Jean

Hi Jan,
Tierra is thriving. Her personality and mannerisms have definitely captivated each one of us. She sleeps in our bed each night and immediately gets into nighttime position. Lilly seems to like her, but Preston is still very cautious. I'm sure he'll come around eventually. We just have bundles of love for this little doggie and feel so grateful to have her. She's just a joy!
Blessings,
Jean
