Forever Home Update February 1, 2018 Hi Jan, Ashlyn is doing pretty good. She loves me and her toys. But she isn't warming up to Jim. He's doing everything the articles say to with regard to having a new dog that is shy but it's not helping. He gets home from work before me and even if he feeds her she sits across the room and just barks at him. She doesn't do it when I'm home. And she never lets him touch her. Did she do this when she came to the rescue? Any tips you can provide will be appreciated. Dawn February 3, 2018 Hi Jan, When possible Jim has been feeding Ashlyn and giving her treats and she let him pet her a couple of times when I was holding her. I'm sure she'll come around. It's just a slow process which is fine with us. Our Buddy was similar but with young girls. It took him a long time to warm up to my step-daughter when she lived at home. But he eventually did and all was well. I'm sure it'll be the same with Ashlyn. Other than that she's doing really well. We go for walks and she loves playing with her toys, especially her ball. She's eating well and sleeps good in our bed every night. We absolutely love her! She's such a sweetie. Have a wonderful weekend! Dawn February 18, 2018 Hi Jan, I just wanted to give you an update on Ashlyn. She's doing really well adjusting to her new life. She loves Jim and will sit with him once in a while. She's also decided that her puppy pee pads are now better used for napping since she goes potty outside. I'm sending you some pictures I thought you'd like to see. Take care, Dawn
