    "Money cannot buy you happiness",
have never paid an adoption fee.

    Our Goal
Many of the babies that arrive into our care are not house trained nor leash trained. Our main goal when they arrive is to let them know that they are loved and safe. We first address their veterinarian needs and then we meet their emotional needs. We spend endless hours holding them close to us, teaching them what belly rubs and kisses are all about, letting them know that each is very special to us. They are never scolded for having potty accidents in the house, this is the least of our concerns. When we know that they feel safe we then begin to gently work on house breaking and leash training issues. Many of our babies leave our care not fully house and leash trained, but they leave us packed full of love and trust and that is Our Goal!

    Pupster Sponsorships
We all know that there are different areas that we can help within rescues. Some individuals open their homes to the dogs for fostering, others aid in transports, vet visits and grooming appointments. We realize that many of our lives become very busy and there is just not enough time in the day.
A wonderful way for those of you that maintain a lifestyle that prohibits you from physically helping these sweet kids is through sponsorship.
Your name and location will be noted under the pupster you have chosen to sponsor. You will be kept updated on a monthly basis as to how your “Favorite Baby” is progressing.

    Sponsorship Auto Monthly
If you would like to sponsor one of our precious fosters, and would like to have your monthly sponsorship automatically paid via Paypal, please click on the Paypal button below. Many of our Sponsor Parents prefer this option.
If you prefer to pay on a month to month basis please click on the "Sponsor Me" button within each pupster's bio.

Sponsoring one of our pupsters is very fulfilling for you will be able to follow their progress as they heal emotionally and physically, grow to trust and find their Special Home that they so deserve.

I am a very sweet 7 yr old gold and white Shih Tzu girl. I weigh 11 lbs and was born on April 14, 2010. I joined PATR due to kennel downsizing by my breeder.
I'm a wiggly playful girl ready to brighten up your world! I'm tons of fun, and like to play with the other pupsters, but would also do well being the one and only. Get ready to give me lots of exercise and things to do since I have an active play style. I'm a happy-go-lucky pupster and I love getting attention from people! Do you have time for an active best buddy like me? I'm a ton of fun! I will need a fenced in yard and no small children please.
To maintain my excellent health, my diet is extremely important. Mom wanted to feed us the very best diet available, so Peke A Tzu Rescue became a distributor for Oma's Pride Raw Food products. I am enjoying a yummy turkey & veggie mix raw diet now. Mom alternates between turkey, beef and chicken raw diets. Please read about my special diet. Mom adds the following supplements: digestive enzymes, probiotics, kelp, DMG and salmon oil for a healthy balanced meal. I hope that my forever Mom/Dad will love me enough to keep me on a raw diet.
I am working on house training and leash training and do well during grooming.
I am spayed, current on vaccinations, tested heart worm negative, on a monthly heartworm prevention and on a natural flea protection. Total vet costs can be seen at Foster Vetting Costs. My adoption fee is $300.

I am a very handsome 5 yr old, solid gold Shih Tzu boy. I weigh 17 lbs and was born on January 17, 2012. My Mom and Dad were working long hours and didn't have enough time to give me all the love I needed. I was spending most of my time in a crate. So they decided it was best for me to find a new home.
I am a very sweet and gentle little boy. I have a shy nature and sometimes strange noises or sudden movements can startle me. I get along great with the other pupsters and would love another pupster brother or sister to play with. I would also do OK if I were the one and only. I do love my cuddles and laps are the greatest! I really enjoy going for walks and car rides. I just want to be with you as much as possible. A home where Mom/Dad could be home with me 24/7 would be great and a fenced in yard is a must. I prefer a home with no children.
