Peke A Tzu Rescue
Foster Journal

We thought all of you out there would like to see what happens here in our home so we decided we would pop in on occasion and let you know what we are doing. Some days it is just the same old routine, but other times we have a lot of excitement.
Each night as we settle down and climb into bed we gather close and say a prayer for all of the pupsters that are in need.

For those of you who may not have the opportunity to meet our pupsters we welcome you to
Visit our Sanctuary.

We hope you enjoy hearing about our activities and seeing a few pictures. The majority of the time you will see us happy, healthy and well groomed, but there is a significant cost involved to get each of us to this point which can be viewed at Foster Vetting Costs..
If you would like to help with our vetting costs please let all know about our Magazine Fundraiser

Welcome to May everyone!! Whew, finally we think spring is here although we are still getting a bit chilly at night…gotta love Michigan as Mom says often. Prechie here and no, all of you Pekey lovers I have already found my Forever Home…right here! Those of you who remember Precious probably have a suspicion about my name. I arrived and Mom melted so I just wanted to introduce myself for you may see me here and there on occasion. I am definitely trying to live up to my name sake!!

Chia reporting in. I haven't chatted with all of you in awhile. I am doing great in my Forever Home and my favorite thing is to help Mom when she is doing laundry. Well, I don't know if I am really much of a help but I just cannot resist the warmth of clothes fresh out of the dryer. I sure do miss romping and playing with all of you though. Oh, for the good ol' days…..

Geez, here we go again!! Prius claims she is still trying to break the record for the longest tongue reach, but we pupsters know what she is really up to. Mom has told us over and over again to use the kleenex whenever we have a runny nose. Prius continues to insist on this habit of hers whenever she gets the sniffles…YUK! This is pure pupsterfuge on her part and it needs to stop!!

Today is a very, very important day. In fact we pupsters think it should be made a National Pupster Holiday. Yep, if anyone has overlooked today it is Mother's Day. Where would any of us be without our Mother…just think about this seriously. Who is there to comfort us when we have a tummy ache, to always let us know we are loved no matter the mistakes we may make along the way, to give us those special hugs when we are feeling down, to listen to us any time of the day, to support us in the choices we make, to prepare our favorite meal and most important of all to make sure we always have a huge stash of treat in paws at all times. We wish all of the wonderful beings out there who we are blessed to call Mom a very Happy Mother's Day!!

Hi all you pupsters….Scarlet reporting in!
I just love my new home. I've already convinced Mom and Dad I am the Queen of this Kingdom! My pupster brother Finnegan is really cool, but can you imagine my surprise when I realized I had some other brothers also? Bet I am the only Shih Tzu out here who has two Guinea Pig brothers! Fergus and Curly are their names and eating carrots is their game. To say the least I am very intrigued….wonder if they will do the "Blitz" with me??

We pupsters got our laugh for the day. Priscilla was out gardening with Mom and she can be very, very curious. Suddenly we heard her voice and knew she was in some kind of predicament. We peeked out the door to check out the situation. Priscilla had climbed into one of the plants and couldn't escape. We couldn't help but laugh and laugh at her. She, however, did not see much humor in her situation. Of course you know Mom. She had to snap a picture of Priscilla before she rescued her.

All of us are so thankful to live in a country where we can love and be loved freely. Sometimes we complain about this and that, but we pupsters definitely know we are living in the best country ever. We would all like to thank those that protect us and keep us so safe. All who lost their lives to protect what we hold so dear are in our thoughts today. We are also thinking of family members that have lost their loved ones. Today is a day to reach out and hold each other very close.

What a wonderful way to end our month. Bonnet, Indigo and their Mom and Dad returned to adopt Denim. The minute Bonnet hit the adoption center the toys were flying. Indigo stuck close to her Mom until her Dad was holding Denim and she decided that wasn't on her agenda so she made it clear she needed to be held. We pupsters are thrilled that two of our sisters and one brother will be together forever. We hope Denim's Mom and Dad are ready for lots and lots of exercise…he is one busy little boy. We will see you in June!
